At The Patch, a second-hand clothing store, I was responsible for providing great customer service to all while being efficient and enthusiastic. I was responsible for pricing, stocking, and merchandising clothing and clothing displays while also prioritizing the experience of every shopper by assisting in their shopping in any way possible from their entrance into the store until the completion of their purchases.

At Orygen, I was proud to assist in the effort to streamline and improve the fundraising sector of this organization to enhance the opportunities available to the organization in regards to research and campaign creation. I took initiative to establish and spearhead the creation of a volunteer program that welcomed new volunteers into the fundraising and research departments so that more people could be aided by the work of the Youth Mental Health Centre. This role was all about being innovative, dedicated, and driven to create possibilities that didn't exist before. It also required that I confidently lead volunteers in a welcoming and inclusive way in order to encourage team-building that would make fundraising efforts exciting, passionate, and fulfilling for all participants!

At the Lake Agnes Teahouse, a backcountry restaurant in Lake Louise, I live and work with a tight-knit group of staff at our restaurant which has no running water or electricity. The demands of backcountry service require that we cook and prepare all foods and beverages with propane stoves, by hand, at the time of order. We also hike in supplies from the village of Lake Louise by backpack, hike out garbage, and pump and haul water for cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing. Other duties involve cleaning outhouses and preparing sewage barrels for removal via helicopter among other tasks that vary depending on the number of patrons/weather/number of staff. Most importantly, life at the teahouse is all about service for visitors to the area, many of whom are international guests. Serving here is oriented towards welcoming visitors to the natural landscape we call home, sharing tips on hiking and nearby trails, telling stories about backcountry life and service, and doing anything possible to enhance the enjoyment of their visit.

Delivery and pick up of controlled stores, personnel and equipment, understanding vehicle restrictions and knowledge of current road legislation in specific areas. Maintaining and servicing of the vehicles constantly, to be able to fix and repair minor technical problems.
