Hire and train purchasing department staff to maintain stability and efficiency according to standards set up in company records. Control the purchasing process of raw materials, services/contracts, and other goods and services on a high level with attention to critical threats to avoid a short supply of materials. Developing, leading, and executing purchasing strategies within the company - overseeing the purchasing and procurement process, and supporting negotiations with vendors. Tracking and reporting key performance indicators - responsible for inventory management, analyzing demand patterns, and forecasting future needs to avoid shortages or excesses. Coordinates with account managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs -evaluate and assess needs of customers while maintaining balance with inventory set up goals.

Monitor stock levels and purchase goods, materials, or services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery and ensuring continuity of supply. Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations - e.g. coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization - e.g. communicate with production planning regarding possible risks regarding deliveries that might have an impact on the manufacturing of the final product Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues Identifying process problems and concerns and making appropriate recommendations for innovative solutions and corrective actions to achieve desirable results.
