I create, design and restructure financial products at Cleary Gottlieb. When I'm lucky, I help from ideation to launch. In addition, I have substantial experience running a wide variety of deals, with a particular emphasis on restructuring. Highlights include: - advising a few sovereigns on how best to restructure their debt; - helping multiple sell-side clients build a variety of one-off derivatives and financial products from scratch; and - helping to grow a newly-formed equity derivatives practice group into a market leader. Particularly fun stuff includes: - advising the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico and the Central Bank of Argentina; - acting as lead associate on more than $5bn of convertible bond offerings, including an IFLR deal of the year; and - proposing numerous changes to form documents that have become "market". Substantial pre-law background in economics (behavioral economics; game theory) and statistics (causal inference; Bayesian data analysis).
