 Designed and planned water supply projects in rural areas using ARPICO water pumps and pipes for domestic usage and agriculture  Prepared bill of quantities (BOQs), project valuations, and estimations  Conducted pump services, repairs, and pump spare part ordering at the central pump workshop  Prepared site building layouts for ARPICO plastic company for plastic chair production and planned power supply for building with collaboration of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) using AutoCAD  Reported to the Factory Manager when preparing the fire hydrant system plan for current factory and a new factory under construction  Prepared fire hydrant system plans for two companies with assistance from the Fire Officer in accordance with the National Fire Protection Standards (NFPA) and British Standard Institute (BSI)  Conducted analysis on solvent cement production at PVC factory, to increase production using new ‘2S2L double head/double cavity blow moulding machine’ for bottles and ‘Borche BS120-III injection moulding machine’ for lids, caps, and brushes, and automated labeling machine  Coordinated a new project of ARPICO Durables, creating a Sri Lanka Standard (SLS) accredited plastic laboratory for testing of PVC pipes and water tanks  Planned stages to the preparation of ‘Bill of Materials (BOMs), handled quotations, and prepared summary reports on machine/equipment.  Prepared Chair Testing Procedures and Inspection/Testing Reports in accordance with ISO Standards (SLS ISO 7173, SLS ISO 7174, SLS 1438) for the new ARPICO plastic factory. Key Achievements:  Completed a 12-Month project under 4 months that reached the production rates by 3 times from March 2022  Commenced net zero concepts within the workshop resulting in a reduction in the cost for spare parts by 20% and reduction in repair lead times

 Was offered a mechanical engineering instructor position for my overall merit during my undergraduate.  With the pandemic and mostly working from home, I was extendedly offered a university associateship contract that allows direct responsibility in the academics of the 3rd and 4th year students at Curtin University.  Conducted Online and Physical Laboratories for modules: Engineering Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Fundamentals of Vibration, Refrigeration System and Design, Design for Manufacturing, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and SolidCAM.  Conducted Lectures and Tutorials for modules: Engineering Sustainability, Professional Engineering Practice, and Competitive Design Methodology.  Attended exam invigilation  Coordinated final year projects in the academic years 2020 and 2021  Worked as a co-supervisor for ‘Investigation of an Energy Optimization method through SMAW process in the Local industry’ final year project of Curtin University in the year 2021. Key Achievements:  Conducted online workshops and laboratory sessions via zoom and MS Teams during the pandemic and achieved over 90% pass rate.

 Performed an overhaul of a CAT 120H Motor Grader engine, at the UTE Engineering workshop, and successfully set tappet clearances and observed precision and the order of assembly with reference to the service manual.  Carried out two CAT 3512 (1400kVA) Gen-Set overhauls at Hilton Hotel Colombo, followed by load tests.  Performed troubleshooting and regular services of CAT 40/CAT 25 forklifts.  Monitored and maintained inventory and reported inconsistencies as well as ordered more materials.  Followed and adhered to all Workplace Health and Safety rules and regulations.  Coordinated with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal compliance.  Worked with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction.
