•Performing Chronic and Acute toxicity testing of refinery effluents and water samples using aquatic organisms (Trout, Daphnia, Ceriodaphnia, and Fathead Minnow). •Testing algal growth in effluents using Selenastrum capricornutum. •Testing for Fecal Coliforms, Total Coliforms, Fecal Streptococcus and Enterococcus using Membrane Filtration, Heterotrophic Plate Counts, and Defined Substrate Technology (DST methods). •Testing for Biochemical Oxygen Demand on effluents, treated and untreated wastewater. • Determining the presence/absence of sulphate -reducing bacteria (SRB ) and Iron-Reducing Bacteria (IRB) •Performing Microtox testing on effluents, soils, and drilling mud toxicity (Directive 50). •Data entry and statistical analysis of raw data and compiling and verifying QA/QC of technical reports, and signing final reports. •Training and supervising new laboratory staff in the lab procedures and safety practices. •Conducting Internal Audits of Standard Operating Procedures. •Safety Representative for the Joint Health and Safety Committee. •Part of the Six Sigma Program (Special Projects)– Greenbelt level
