As a serial entrepreneur and pioneer in the food technology industry, I am passionate about leveraging technology to revolutionize the way restaurants and food service providers operate. I am the founder of two successful startups in the food tech space: Posios, a cloud-based point-of-sale system for the hospitality industry, and Deliverect, a SaaS platform that integrates food delivery platforms with restaurant point-of-sale systems. Deliverect has become a unicorn company valued at over €1 billion and is used by thousands of restaurants worldwide, including major chains such as Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell. I care as much about the small restaurants though as imo they are the glue of our society My expertise lies in developing innovative solutions that streamline restaurant operations and enhance the customer experience. I am committed to using cutting-edge technology to address the most pressing challenges facing the food industry, from increasing efficiency and reducing waste to improving sustainability and promoting healthier eating. And above all make sure restaurants can thrive. As a leader in the Belgian startup scene, I am also involved in various mentorship and advisory roles, helping to guide and support other aspiring entrepreneurs in the region. I believe that by working together, we can create a more dynamic, innovative, and sustainable future. Together with Zhong he imagined a new era for the hospitality, where boundaries between the restaurant owners and their customers were removed using the technologies they were by now familiar with. Jan realised that in order to deliver the best experience POSIOS would need native applications and focus on iOS first and so he created the first versions of the fronted of Restaurant Butler. Currently as CTO he keeps on pushing the developers to create the next experience in POS and Hospitality software. Furthermore integrating simplified ways of payment and getting a foothold in the US are his priorities.
