About
My dad is the ultimate McGyver, and as a child, I’d help him build everything from a box to a tractor. In those early years, I found my love for innovation, became insanely curious in understanding how things work, how they are put together and what is the most effective way to do it. How It’s Made is still my favorite show. After graduating college and moving across the ocean to make it in the Big Apple, I was lucky to find a small company in Brooklyn specialized in manufacturing countertops, that was looking for an R&D Engineer. I found more than just my first job, I found a place where people mattered, and a place where the mission was always at the front of how the company kept its course. It was at IceStone where I learned to appreciate the significance of the impact and responsibility that businesses have on the environment and people’s lives. In my 11 years with the company, I helped the business grow from 12 to 80 employees, implemented processes to enable scalable operations, developed teams, and solved multiple business challenges. Thanks to the abundance of opportunities, I was quickly able to make an impact on operations, supply chain, and ultimately be responsible for overall business performance. Brooklyn Roasting Co. attracted me for its belief in sustainable supply chain and responsible sourcing, which is so rare to find in commodity traded industries. As the COO I was responsible for everything from the top line to the bottom line, supervising all daily operations, developing and implementing business plans, and providing opportunities for talent within the organization. I strongly believe that people are a company’s best asset and I love helping them achieve their full potential as individuals and as part of a team. As a Fractional COO / VP Operations I can leverage your business strengths with my hands-on experience in solving the everyday challenges. Have you ever taken a Strength Finder’s test? It really helps you understand why you do certain things and why you think a certain way. My top strengths are: •Context •Empathy •Harmony •Responsibility •Achiever To sum these up-I like to look at history to understand today; I understand what others feel and how to see things from their perspective; I know how to get people to a common ground and find agreement even when they are in conflict; I take ownership for anything I commit to and I always work hard. When I’m not looking at P&L’s or designing strategies, I love to read a good book (Bill Bryson is my go-to guy), bake a cake, watch anything about WW2, dog sit or go skiing.
