About

I care about people very much, which is why I've spent decades working in nonprofits, But my first love is writing. I've just completed my second screenplay and was excited to receive an option offer for my first. (Unfortunately, it was not sold, but I'm still trying.) Writing has been a strong part of my life since I won a writing contest in 3rd grade, and I began my professional career after college as a journalist. Every job I've had has incorporated writing into it, even if it wasn't in the original job description. I believe I'm an excellent editor and my co-workers always seem to appreciate this skill. Writing is the way I will want to spend my golden years.

* Provide support, information and advocacy to victims of domestic violence either by phone or in person * assist clients with paperwork when needed * help attorney prepare to represent clients in Protection Order hearings by doing in-depth intakes, gathering evidence such as poilice reports and hospital records, and maintaining the attorney's hearings schedule * do 2 follow-up inteviews with each client who obtains a Protection Order * help attorney prepare detailed quarterly reports, and make referrrals by phone or in person to clients who are currently not seeking (or who are not eligible) for Protection Orders. Many of these clients qualify for other services offered by the Women's Law Center so I'm able to full explain those resources.
