As an intern at the Office of Sustainability, I was involved in community outreach that promoted sustainable living. My major responsibilities included event planning, graphic design, and data analytics.

As an intern at Microbe Inotech Laboratories, my primary responsibility was to conduct sterile lab procedure for fungal and bacterial testing, as well as prepare the necessary materials for fungal and bacterial nourishment.

My time at Red Lobster has taught me quite a bit. Working in such a fast-paced environment alongside such a diverse group of people has taught me how crucial communication skills are to the functionality of a company. I have developed the soft skills necessary to talk to such a large number of new people each day, as my goal is to make sure every customer feels comfortable. On the other hand, I have enhanced my ability to keep myself composed when a customer reacts in a negative or hostile manner.

As an area manager at Pacific Beach, my responsibilities included interviewing, selecting, and training employees as well as providing constructive criticism and suggesting sales strategies to the employees of my two locations. Inventory reports, individual and overall sales reports, and maintenance reports were all important responsibilities of mine as well. After moving up the management chain rather quickly, I spent about seven months gaining management experience at Pacific Beach. When the time came to transfer to the University of Missouri St. Louis, I decided my time would be better spent concentrating on my studies.
