Jamie Nonis

Jamie Nonis is a media veteran with 24 years of experience on both sides of the media equation; as one of Singapore’s sought-after independent journalists, and as a communications specialist having run their own boutique public relations and content agency for a decade. In the editorial arena, Jamie, who goes by ‘They/Them’ pronouns, has cultivated a strong personal brand synonymous with luxury and is well-versed in the world of watches, high-performance cars, business/private aviation, yachting and travel. The accomplished journalist has travelled extensively on global assignments, and their work has been published in a multitude of top-tier news and luxury/lifestyle publications including the BBC, Channel NewsAsia and The Straits Times, as well as Robb Report, Esquire and Vogue magazines, amongst others. Fuelled by an obsession with personal development and what it takes to cultivate a high-performance mindset, Jamie excels in the art of the interview with influential captains of industry, world-class athletes and illustrious personalities the likes of former Singapore President Mdm Halimah Yacob, Olympic champion Joseph Schooling, and Formula One drivers such as Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon, to name a few. A versatile creative multi-hyphenate with varied interests, Jamie has parlayed the depth of their journalism experience and finely honed interviewing skills into hosting events and moderating panel discussions on topics related to their areas of expertise. In 2020, Jamie bravely came out publicly as a transgender individual – the same year they launched SPEQ:TRUM podcast as a platform for LGBTQ+ voices, stories and dialogue. It was the first such podcast of its kind in Singapore in 12 years at the time, and has been featured in the 2023 Louis Vuitton Singapore City Guide. Jamie continues to be a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ equality as founder and CEO of Speqtrum Consulting, a DEI consultancy specialising in equipping organisations with the knowledge and resources to create an inclusive work environment for all LGBTQ+ stakeholders of a business.
