With over two decades of experience in the maritime industry, I currently serve as a Port Captain, overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operations for a fleet of ship assist Z-drive tugboats. My role bridges strategic planning and frontline leadership, ensuring vessels are maintained, crewed, and operated to the highest international standards. In addition to port captaincy, I wear several key hats: • As the Company Security Officer (CSO), I develop and maintain the security protocols that protect ours vessels, crew, and local operating area from threats. • As the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), I serve as the crucial link between vessel and management, ensuring USCG compliance and promoting a strong safety culture. • As HR Manager for Vessel Crewing, I manage recruitment, training, welfare, and retention strategies for the crews, aligning people practices with operational needs. My leadership philosophy combines operational excellence with proactive safety, compliance, and people management. I’m passionate about driving continuous improvement, mentoring future maritime leaders and helping to make Wilmington Tug a place where people love to work.
