The skills that I developed through studying for a PhD in statistics have been transferred to the working environment at bet365. I strive to provide answers to problems using a blend of statistical and machine learning methodologies using a variety of programming languages. I have experience working with database systems through SQL and MongoDB and am an advanced user of the statistical programming language R. I have also used Python, C++, and Fortran to provide statistical insights.

The title of my thesis is 'Nonlinear dynamic modelling and prediction' which has been submitted for a PhD in statistics. Motivated by problems arising from football data, I employed techniques from both the statistical and machine learning communities. This required much use of the statistical programming language R, as well as providing experience of Rcpp (a branch of C++), Fortran, Python, Git and MongoDB.
