The Sycamore Review is a nationally distributed literary journal publishing fiction, nonfiction and poetry. As a Fiction Editor, I am responsible for ensuring that the fiction content of the Sycamore Review is consistent in its excellence. To do this, I recruit and train readers who shortlist the submissions, and then work with shortlisted writers to ensure that their vision is fully realized. When I read, I look for fiction with quiet power that resonates with the reader long after the story has been put down. I love stories of all genres-- I grew up with Isaac Asimov and Agatha Christie-- but the short story form will always be nearest to my heart.

* Minzu University is a key national university with a focus on Chinese minorities and minority studies. My duties as a lecturer in the English Department included: designing and delivering courses on British and American Literature * leading discussion oriented speaking and writing classes to undergraduate English Majors * training university professors in pedagogy and oral and written communication.
