Revamped the organization by increasing the frequency of chapter meetings, collaborating with industry sponsors, and fostering the involvement of members in club activities and community outreach

* Recruited International Students from all over the globe by sending out weekly emails to high school counselors and prospective students * Interviewed and selected candidates to be future International Ambassadors

* Researched ways to synthesize manganese (IV) oxide on carbon fiber paper for use as a supercapacitor material * Modified the surface of carbon fiber paper and analyzed contact angle results using an optical tensiometer * Presented research poster on experimental background, objectives, methods and results * Won Second Place Award for research poster presentation

* Mentored 35 freshmen students in the College of Engineering * Organized events to engage students in the Living Learning Program

* Engaged with parents and families during the see blue U freshman orientation to inform them about the benefits of purchasing a meal plan on campus * Sold over 30 meal plans ranging from $1000 - $2200 each * Won Aramark’s ‘seller of the week’ award for two different weeks

* Updated the organization’s database by contacting alumni and old staff for any change in status or contact information * Gave detailed feedback/ presentation to the organization's board of directors on the type of responses received and attitude of those contacted

* Studied the effects of electrode compression on the performance of redox flow batteries * Characterized the electrochemical performance, permeability, capacitance and active surface area of the studied electrodes * Presented research findings at the MIT Summer Research Programs Poster Session
