• Ensure relevant Safety, Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations remain in full compliance at every work place. • Coordinate with internal resources (mine planning, geology, production drill supervisor and blasting services provider) to schedule and execute drilling activities in a safe and efficient manner. • Provide drill and blast engineering services, including blast hole pattern, charging and initiation designs. • Perform QAQC checks in stopes to ensure correct production drilling setup for Solo & ITH Drill Rigs. • Conduct fragmentation analysis to see how drill parameters are being translated. • Review and sign off on all drill and blast designs before execution to ensure the operations are carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner. • Develop and implement business improvement ideas to optimize the Drill and Blast processes at Underground. • Conduct advanced evaluation and trend assessments of drill & blast activities and report results at daily/weekly production meetings. • Contribute to the business capability to mine safely by actively identifying risks and threats to achieving production targets and developing strategies to ensure those risks are minimized or eliminated. • Monitor blast variations and emissions to ensure compliance with drill and blast regulations and guidelines. • Set performance targets and measure, monitor, and manage overall performance of junior engineers.

• Generated mine designs which includes production drill plans, blast plans, auxiliary mine service plans such as ventilation, drainage, electrical and escape ways • Developed short term production schedules such as weekly, monthly and three-month rolling plan taking into consideration active stopes, development headings, equipment locations and maintenance schedules • Generated Mining instructions to assist in the advancement of mine development • Assisted drillers to setup rigs in stopes and drill as per designed parameters to minimize drilling deviations • Supervised stope and development charging program, connect and initiate all electronic blasts • Monitored compliance with work standards and procedures of field personnel and contractors

• Prepared monthly explosive reports and performed end of month explosive reconciliation • Performed fragmentation analysis on blasted muck and produced reports indicating improvements • Designed blast plans and blast tie-up plans to improve the management, control and efficiency of each blast performed using Rioblast • Developed charging rules using parameters such as bench heights, spacing, burden and borehole diameter • Prepared contractor equipment hour reports and reconcile with contractor at the end of month • Monitored mining progress against schedules
