Title: The design and synthesis of small-molecule inhibitors of Nek family Ser/Thr protein kinases Funded by the Wellcome Trust, supervised by Dr. Swen Hoelder and Prof. Richard Bayliss. A fragment-based approach was adopted to discover a tool compound for Nek 6/7 kinases. This involved the design and synthesis of compounds as well as their biological testing. The work also included crystallography and in silico modelling.
