About
JR Edwards was born October 11, 1979 to parents James and Elaine Edwards who taught him to fear and reverence the Lord Jesus Christ. JR received Christ into his life in 1993 during chapel services at a yearly summer camp that he attended. Since the age of nine, JR has been very productive in his musical career. JR is an accomplished keyboardist and drummer. His passion for difficult styles of music have allowed him to play behind artists such as Shirley Murdock, Dorinda Clark Cole, Judith McAllister, Nikki Potts, and many more. JR received his endorsement through Yamaha Entertainment Group with artists such as Elton John, Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin JR’s desire to grow deeper in Christ and to further develop his gifting, JR submitted himself under the leadership of Apostle Patrick J. Brown and The Father’s Heart International Church. Apostle Brown took time to pour into JR’s ministry and helped develop him as a leader and to see the worth of his ministry gift to body. During his time with Apostle Brown, JR served as The Director of Worship and Technical Ministries. In 2006, JR launched his very own production company called Davdical Productions LLC, which specializes in music production, songwriting session, worship conferences and clinics and much more. Committed to support his fellow musicians in being accountable to the call on their lives, JR will be releasing in his first book “#Scandal in the Music Ministry” fall, 2014. Scandal is a series of short stories that help the reader deal with “music ministry” related issues; fornication, being on the down low, standards, etc. His second book “Intimacy” will be released later in 2014. JR is currently working on projects with Nichole Davis, Wynueco Washington, and Shortfuse Records Artist LaQuil "LB" Baker.

Director of Worship and Technical Ministries 2006 - 2010 Responsibilities include leading our people in acts of worship that are pleasing to God, speak to the heart and are attractive to the unchurched. Involve as many individuals as possible in the worship experience in a way that both utilizes and develops their gifts, train, support and disciple those involved in the worship ministry. Encourage small group involvement, accountability, and intimacy with God. Plan worship services with the teaching pastors in the collaborative context of the ministry team. Establish worship ministry goals, evaluate their effectiveness regularly and adjust as needed.
