James Cordier

James Cordier is president and founder of OptionSpreaders.com, an investment firm specializing exclusively in option selling for high-net-worth investors, and a leading authority on commodities. For more than two decades, James has been a leader in bringing professional-grade option selling strategies to serious investors. A regular fixture in the media, James has been a sought-after guest on CNBC, FOX Business, Bloomberg and has contributed to The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s. He also authored “The Complete Guide to Option Selling,” published by McGraw-Hill. Now in its third edition, the book still serves as a training manual for professional brokers. In recent years, James refined his trading strategy and subsequently launched OptionSpreaders.com, to widen the strategies available to investors who want to trade commodities options. Beyond providing market commentary to the media, James produces his own articles and client newsletters. He began making these available to the public free of charge, spurring the launch of The Cordier Commodity Report to offer high level commodity analysis to professional traders. Mr. Cordier has authored three books with McGraw-Hill, and a fourth book by Forbes Books released in October 2024. A fifth book, "Why Commodities," is also being published with Forbes and is scheduled to be out in early 2025. In addition to his work as an investor, James has special interest in philanthropic causes. Notably one being Operation Healing Forces. A non-profit organization with a mission to help both veterans and gold-star families in the pursuit of quality time spent in the re-acclimation to civilian life. Another exceptional cause in the Tampa Bay Area is Think Big for Kids. An organization changing young lives by providing them with career opportunities, mentorship and more to prepare them for the life. Mr. Cordier grew up in Wisconsin and has been married to his wife Krista since 2016. They now reside in Tampa Florida.
