The University is currently building a £61m National Graphene Institute, which will be the UK's leading centre for Graphene research.

It is located in Great Baddow (Chelmsford), Filton (Bristol) and Towcester. Responsibilities include delivery of the BAE Systems corporate research activity, university partnerships and technology acquisition activity to deliver new capabilities and technologies to BAE Systems and it's customers.
