Big Society Funding was a social enterprise which helped individuals, charitable organisations, communities and voluntary groups to survive and thrive. The CIC’s founders - James Baddeley and Mark Ereira-Guyer - realised that small voluntary organisations would need help to ride the wave of change about to hit them and set about providing this support where it was lacking. Our mission was to equip smaller organisations with entrepreneurial and sustainable business skills to initially survive and then thrive in their creative responses to the new policy agenda. We worked with over 80 organisations over nine years and helped generate over £2million in income for the NFP sector as well as equipping 100s of charity leaders, staff and volunteers with new and improved skills and resilience to run their NFP organisations more effectively
