I currently work at Tamkeen (Bahrain’s Labour Fund) on their digital platforms. Tamkeen builds public initiatives and keeps finding better ways to support people and businesses. It’s meaningful work 🌱

I returned to Riyadh. This time to a very different, more modern Riyadh. I worked on systems that collected and published COVID statistics and other diseases. I worked alongside some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with, from techies to scientists. 🦠

I worked as a front-end developer at Memac Ogilvy, producing digital collateral for premium clients. I designed and developed emailers, landing pages, app interfaces, and interactive kiosks. Repetition did its thing and sharpened my skills. To this day, I appreciate Ogilvy’s heritage and its founder-driven philosophy. 🙏🏼

After a short calibration break, I dove back into agency life, with honed visual skills. I designed native iOS and Android interfaces for various app genres and worked alongside clients’ technical teams to walk them through implementation. High-fidelity prototypes were now my playground. 💪🏼

I lived the #agency-life as a project manager at 4SPOTS, a digital agency in Bahrain. The role mixed interface design with client-facing and project-management responsibilities. We shipped websites and products alongside a team of designers and developers. It was basically my Mobily role, but on steroids, plus a lot of birthday cakes. I burned myself out a little too soon. 🧨

I worked in Riyadh as a business analyst at Mobily, Saudi Arabia’s second-largest mobile operator. Fresh out of grad school and hungry for work, I was on the front lines of gathering requirements between stakeholders and a design agency. I basically hijacked the role and went full-on user experience mode; drawing wireframes and shaping flows. 🥷🏻

I was the webmaster and social media administrator for Euro Motors, a European luxury car dealership. Social media was just becoming a thing locally, and I helped integrate new digital marketing channels and campaigns. I don’t mean to brag, but I did drive a Phantom on Bahrain’s F1 track once. 😎

My first official job was a one-year Microsoft training program. Part classroom, part client-work setting up servers and Microsoft products across Bahrain and the GCC. I earned multiple server administration certifications. Valuable experience, but not where my interests ultimately landed. 👀

Before graduating from college, I was an HP sales representative at the Bahrain–US Navy Exchange. I sold hardware, talked a lot of tech, ran demos and happily became the unofficial tech support along the way. 👨🏻‍💻
