Senior Project Manager – Stormwater Engineer
As a Senior Project Manager, I oversee the production of flood studies, drainage studies, and various submissions to FEMA for Letters of Map Change (LOMC). As a local expert in stormwater engineering, I provide guidance to our clients regarding local, state, and federal floodplain development regulations.

Sr. Civil Engineer

Water Resources Engineer

I worked on a variety of stormwater related water resources and transportation projects. Storm drain and inlet design, detention pond design, dam assessments, bridge and culvert hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, drainage ditch analysis and design, flood studies and floodplain mapping, and hydraulic modeling for flood warning systems are among my track record while at HDR. I gained experience with 2-D hydraulic modeling for dam breach analyses, floodplain mapping, and storm drain design and became familiar with FEMA standards and criteria through Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) preparation and submittal. Performed detailed reviews of hydrologic and hydraulic models as well as drainage reports. • Thesis title: “Water Quality Models for Stormwater Runoff in Two Lincoln, Nebraska Urban Watersheds” • Managed a water quality field study that included the following duties: collaboration with the USGS and City of Lincoln, water sample collection, lab analysis, data organization, statistical analysis, pollutant mass load estimation, report generation, and supervision of four undergraduate employees • Calibrated and maintained ISCO stream stage and area velocity flow equipment for the development of site specific stage-discharge relationships • Prepared 2010 project report for the City of Lincoln Watershed Management Division, titled: “Development of Storm Water Discharge Pollutant Load Model for Holmes Lake Watershed” • Prepared paper and presentation discussing research findings for the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) conference held May 2011 in Palm Springs, CA
