Responsible for the strategy, implementation, operation, and evolution of enterprise security, business systems, and all other aspects of IT across Tanium. Given our mission, this naturally includes a heightened focus on cyber hygiene and working closely with product and engineering leadership to adopt and provide feedback on the latest products and features. Direct reports include Tanium's CISO, as well as leaders focused on IT Engineering, Business Systems, GRC, and Enterprise Architecture.

Head of technology for Virgin America across the entire information technology & security spectrum. Currently focused on driving the integration of Virgin America technology & technical staff with Alaska Airlines. Also serving as integration lead for critical technology initiatives driven by the Virgin America and Alaska Airlines merger.

Rebuilt and led all teams necessary for production and corporate IT. Responsibility for data centers & network infrastructure, virtual application delivery, guest-facing technology (virginamerica.com and VX airport technology), telephony, corporate applications, service desk, SSO, database technology, SaaS integration and vendor management. Drove compliance initiatives (PCI & SOX) and DR/BCP efforts for all operationally critical systems. But the fun part? Leading the ground-up infrastructure design and implementation for the groundbreaking virginamerica.com redesign & launch, as well as the infrastructure design and cutover to Sabre's Aircentre operational suite and the Sabre Reservations System cutover.

Managed five teams (totaling 45 employees and 5 managers) in the areas of corporate IT, network operations, infrastructure/production operations and application operations. Developed, negotiated and maintained all technology vendor relationships and contracts for corporate and production operations. Collaborated regularly with Product Management, Product Marketing and Software Engineering on all technical and operational aspects of new and existing services, including both software and cloud-enabled SaaS offerings. Scaled the i365/EVault cloud from ~180TB to >2PB of native data, as well as transforming <50 physical servers in domestic data centers to over 600 physical and virtual servers. Led the launch of cloud services in multiple US and EMEA data centers, including all phases from contract through deployment. Led efforts to design, research, test (a.k.a destroy) and deploy scalable, cost-effective cloud storage systems w/custom-built and industry standard SAN/NAS technologies from EMC, Hitachi, HP, Sun/Oracle, Nexsan and Isilon. Designed and implemented complete disaster recovery plans for all corporate systems and cloud infrastructure. Also successfully managed the completion of SAS70 audits: 2006 - 2009. Named Employee of the Year for 2007.

Drove QA, product documentation, and pre/post-sales support for the EVault Continuum storage appliance. Also provided Pre-Sales technical guidance for other EVault software & SaaS products. Provided detailed analysis on competing software and hardware solutions, as well as detailed technical analysis on potential technology acquisitions. Designed and built performance test and QA environments as-needed for the Solutions Lab, including all server, network and storage infrastructure.
