I started at UPS after college and have moved my way up from a temporary employee to a management role within the corporate procurement team. I started at a ground-floor accounts payable role and became familiar with processing invoices and managing vendor payment information. Since then I have been working within the corporate transportation team for the company managing and negotiating multi-million dollar RFPs for our ground transportation networks. I have actively contributed to managing and negotiating millions of dollars in savings towards the organization. I have also maintained many analyses for procurement events which includes optimizing supplier selection with cost, service, and diversity in mind. I have also maintained financial analyses for internal stakeholders regarding network-wide spend figures and spend visibility. I play an active role in market intelligence for the transportation arm of the company which involves staying up to date on industry trends and knowledge to better inform management of potential market risks and opportunities for procurement events.
