About
Hi, I’m Jaden. I’m a CS and Math student at San Diego State University, and I’m interested in systems engineering, autonomy, and full-cycle engineering. I currently work as a Software Engineer at VLI-EV, a startup focused on large-scale battery and energy systems.This summer, I will be joining the Patent Systems & Automation team @ Qualcomm!I'm part of SDSU's Real-Time Embedded and Controls Lab (RTEC), where I work on autonomy, planning, and localization for the Aztec Autonomous Racing Team (AART). I mainly focus on software designed to run within tight hardware and compute limits. Outside of industry and research, I'm the Vice President of the SDSU App Development Club. I lead hands-on full-stack workshops and help guide a student team working on a website for a local nonprofit. I've also supported core CS courses as an Instructional Student Assistant for Algorithms (CS460) and Operating Systems (CS480).I mostly work in C/C++ and Python, with experience across backend and full-stack development (React, Next.js), Linux/UNIX environments, and AWS. I enjoy learning by doing, owning systems from idea to implementation, and most importantly working on software that has actual impact.I’ve also won 1st place at the AWS × Cal Poly AI Hackathon and received the Most Creative Award at the Innovate 4 SDSU Hackathon!
