My role was to assist with many of the day-to-day tasks in the marketing department. Duties included sending mail-outs for Shu Uemura and L’Oreal Professional, sourcing and filing press coverage, and conducting product audits.

At H&M, I was afforded a number of responsibilities, including floating and cashing up tills, ensuring deliveries are completed, assisting with visual merchandise and providing customer service. This job enabled me to develop my communication skills and my ability to work within a team. My department only had a part time manager and so my managerial and leadership skills were also developed in this role as I was often given the responsibility of managing one or more floors and their staff.

In the past two years, I have been engaged in a number of creative roles across the art world. Tasks have included writing songs for other musicians, fashion photography and organising and filming live music events. An example of this work would be my role in organising and executing a photo-shoot with photographer Miss Aniela, where my responsibilities included setting up and packing down equipment, assisting models, offering advice, and ensuring the strict time schedule was adhered to. I also involve myself in freelance photography projects and am currently building my animation portfolio.

Creative Services Assistant/Creative Services Manager- Brand Opus- Design agency- August 2014 to present I currently work as a creative services assistant and manager at a design agency. Both of these roles involve acting as a design manager for the schedules of an office of 90 people including the designers, freelancers, account managers, directors and a production team. I look after the day to day running of projects coming in and out of the office, making sure resource and time is scheduled and used efficiently for each client and budget. My main job is to liaise with all departments so work runs smoothly and everyone is happy with their work load, it’s a very important part of my job to have a good rapport with everyone in the office as well as being organised and professional. I also act as a runner to cover any other needs of the studio, which include photography and studio/ styling work. Deadlines and work loads change a lot so I have to think quickly on my feet whilst being a clear and effective communicator.

Recently, I have been working as a music supervisor for online fashion brand ASOS. This role involves discovering new music to match with videos on their website. Once the music has been selected, I secure clearances and obtain licenses for the tracks by liaising with the relevant parties, usually record labels, managers and the bands themselves. This job has helped build my contact list within the music, film and production industries whilst working well with deadlines and specific briefs.
