* Duties and responsibilities * Writing and maintaining of server side stored procedures, functions and packages. * Performance tuning of statements including the use of the explain plan tool to analyze execution paths and cost of statements. Running traces and inspecting I/O cost, bind values and execution times. * Support * Database administration tasks included monitoring of application performance; performance tuning of application; monitoring of table spaces * Creating of schemas, implementation of database objects into schemas. * Impolmentation of continuous integration using Mercurial source control, CruiseControl and Nant.

* Duties and responsibilities - Development: * Replacing Open VMS Forms 3 with Oracle Forms 4.5. * Replacing pro FORTRAN reports with Oracle Reports 2. * Visual Basic 5 application development. * Maintenance: * Maintenance and support of Oracle applications.
