Assisted a senior faculty member undertake a research project investigating the current state of knowledge how facility managers can contribute to sustainable development as part of sustainable transitions Performed an extensive systematic literature research and review process focusing on peer reviewed research articles related to the FM profession Collaborated with my fellow research student to document relevant research sources and develop written content related to themes such as the history of sustainable FM, measurement of sustainability, and sustainable FM strategies, practices, measures, and activities

Assisted Senior Service Technicians with various projects, repairs, and renovations, including the installation and maintenance of pool related equipment. Completed regular maintenance of various pools throughout the community, which encompassed testing water samples, taking detailed notes regarding condition of each pool and the related equipment, as well as maintaining regular and comprehensive communication with each client. Regularly reported to office administration staff in order to ensure that customer files were kept up to date and to see to it that paperwork and service inquiries were documented in a timely and organized manner.

Assisted customers with all of their shopping needs, including supporting customers in the selection, demonstration, preparation and loading of merchandise. Responded to customer inquiries and supported them throughout their shopping experience, including promoting customer loyalty plans and/or extended protection plans where appropriate. Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping store areas clean and organized, and monitoring for potential theft or security risks.

This three week program was provided as a collaboration between Sheridan College and various local high-schools. Throughout the program we focused on both technical and practical knowledge related to various trades. A specific focus was placed on machining, millwork, and welding in particular. Through the completion of this course I received both a high-school credit and a college credit from Sheridan College.
