Main projects and achievements Seahorse: Lead the fermentation process development in seasonal flu vaccine production using a microalgae system - Successfully finished the tech transfer from DSM within months - A 30 times HA activity increase was achieved in CA09 with new medium and bioprocess - Developed a CO2-stat control strategy which is ready to scale up - Developed a continuous fermentation and primary recovery process with high productivity. The process has been tested in other antigens, like CP PRN yield improvement: Collaborate with Mtech to improve upstream CP fermentation process - PRN yield was increase by 20% within 6 month - Investigated and found the role of acids in PRN production and release, resulting 2-3 times PRN improvement. A patent is being prepared.
