* Placed 20 high school foreign exchange students with host families around Iowa * Wrote, edited, and distributed materials promoting the U.S. State Department’s Youth Exchange and Study (YES!) program to potential host families * Planned, arranged, and conducted an informational and culturally appropriate orientation session for the international students upon their arrival in the United States

Worked as an intern in the ANALAB division of Agri-King, Inc. Duties included following stringent laboratory testing protocols in the chemical and microbiological analysis of feed samples used by various clients to feed dairy cattle, swine, poultry, and equine herds or flocks. Worked as part of a multi-unit team to import, catalog, prepare, and ultimately analyze samples. The resulting data would be passed on to Agri-King, Inc.'s Animal Nutrition department to determine the proper prescription of Agri-King, Inc. feed supplements for the client's specific needs. The addition of these supplements to the feed ultimately produces healthier and more productive animals and herds.

* As an intern, collected, compiled, entered, and analyzed data related to the Adams 12 District's Operations Report Card (ORC) initiative. * Duties included traveling to building sites and testing various environmental health and building design aspects. Lighting levels, temperature, CO2 and CO concentrations and acoustic transmission levels were all tested and compiled to produce an ORC for each site. * These ORC's can and will be used to target maintenance efforts, building renovation schedules, and energy efficiency improvements across the district, making the schools greener, safer, and better environments in which to learn. * Also performed energy efficiency and sustainability research for the district * Learned to use and manage data using various professional software including Energy Star Portfolio Manager, Energy Star Utility Manager, and Archibus * Designed and built a Sustainability Audit form and performed said audit for each school building in the district * Audit results will also help target energy efficiency improvements district-wide

Obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University. Secondary Major of International Studies. Studied abroad at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Contributing writer and co-editor for UHURU Student Magazine, President of the Iowa State University Racquetball Club, active member of the Iowa State Golf Club and their travelling team competing in NCCGA competitions.
