Engineered high-voltage systems for our solar car, designed for a cross country endurance competition. Lead a team of three engineers in the design of custom PCBs and embedded firmware to integrate our 120V battery with the rest of our high-voltage system. Designed an Active Precharge board employed in the car’s ignition sequence to safely charge our DC bus capacitance. Measured the voltage across a precharge resistor and implemented a comparator with hysteresis to signal a contactor to bypass the resistor when voltage equalized.

Pulse Generator PCB - Schematic & Layout in Altium Designer Designed a custom PCB, capable of injecting a 100VDC pulse at any point on a 120V AC wave to an undisclosed load with nanosecond-scale pulse injection accuracy. R&D Optics System - Embedded firmware Developed custom brightness mapping algorithm. Designed docking station & embedded firmware to enable long-term clock synchronization of multiple STM32 microcontrollers without electrical connection.

Consistently tutored over thirty students, biweekly, through the fall semester. Sharpened my communication and leadership abilities, guided students to excel in their coursework, and further refined my expertise in electrical engineering. Content included analysis of analog resistive circuits, Thevenin/Norton equivalents, mesh and nodal analysis, operational amplifiers, PMOS, NMOS, CMOS devices, capacitors, inductors, and time domain versus frequency domain analysis.
