• Designed and manufactured a steel tube chassis, optimized for torsional rigidity using FEA and validated through physical testing. • Designed and produced CFRP body panels for the vehicle using wet-lay and pre-preg layup methods. • Validated custom impact attenuator design through quasi-static compression testing. • Created engineering drawings for various parts and sent to machine shops for manufacturing. • Managed four system members, facilitated weekly progress meetings and design reviews. • Composed SES, section budget, bill of materials, and reports for team documentation. • Prepared and delivered design review material at SAE competitions across North America. • Designed motor shaft, optimized geometry for manufacturing, reduced overall part mass by 17%, and increased FOS.
