Bureau Director – Office of Preventive Health Mississippi Delta Health Collaborative-Mississippi State Department of Health – April 2009 to June 2018 (Retired; State Government 31.74 years of State Service) Served as Community Project Manager for the Mississippi Delta Health Collaborative Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Hypertension Reduction Initiative for the 18 Counties in the Mississippi Delta Region. Providing direct supervision of staff, three community initiatives that included local elected officials, faith-based organizations, coalitions and licensed barbers. Planning, implementation and of project goals and objective. Strategic planning and management of daily activities and building partnerships at the state, local and national level. Served as the policy lead for local level development and implementation. Proposal development administered and monitored for project grantees and consultants. Partnership development.

Regional Coordinator-University Southern of Mississippi Deep South Network for Cancer Control- The Center for Sustainable Health Outreach November 2006-March 2009 Served as Regional Coordinator for Deep South Network for eight counties in the Mississippi Delta Region with direct supervision of three county coordinators and more than 275 volunteers, working closely with The Center for Sustainable Health Outreach and the University of Southern Mississippi. Responsible for local level program implementation, arranging program speakers, and providing technical support to current volunteers. Identified and recruited community partners on the local and state levels. Responsible for the arrangement of training and coordination of cancer awareness activities. Coordinated and facilitated staff meetings. Performed administrative duties in absence of the Project Manager. Responsible for assisting with the data collection of three areas of the community action plan and transmission of the results to the Data Manager. Responsible for preparing a yearly progress report on the Mississippi Delta Region area of cancer outreach activities.

Service Coordinator-Mississippi State Department of Health Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers Birth to Three Year Old- April 1998 to October 2006 Served as Service Coordinator for three counties in Public Health District III. Case Manager for a caseload of more than 75 infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families to identify service providers in the areas in which services were needed. Worked closely with the local school district, physicians, therapists, mental health, hospitals and other state and local agencies. I provided technical support for families. Assisted in child receiving a developmental assessment in all the developmental areas. Responsible for making referrals to other agencies as needed. Provided supervision of Speech therapist and Educational specialists. Worked closely with all local health departments as well as other programs within the Mississippi State Department of Health. Assisted other coordinators in their absence. Performed administrative duties in the absence of the District Coordinator.
