Jackie Ourman, LMHC-D

I work at the intersection of relationships, emotional health, and human connection. I am a therapist, attachment expert, executive coach, and founder of the Social Connection Collective, which supports global efforts to strengthen belonging. My work also carries into the AI and mental health space, where I educate clinicians and advocate for technology that supports emotional well-being while keeping human connection at the center. In my private practice, I specialize in couples therapy and in helping individuals understand the patterns that shape their relationships at home and at work. Many of the people I work with are high-achieving professionals who appear confident on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or disconnected on the inside. Together, we look closely at the beliefs and patterns that influence how they relate, lead, and show up in their daily lives. My therapeutic approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based strategies, and EMDR when it can support deeper emotional processing. My style is collaborative, practical, and focused on strengthening connection and clarity. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in fast-paced corporate environments. That experience gives me a direct understanding of the pressures ambitious individuals and couples face as they balance demanding careers with their relationships, well-being, and personal growth. Beyond my clinical work, I founded the Social Connection Collective inspired by the World Health Organization’s Commission on Social Connection and its mission to address the global epidemic of loneliness. I am also a founding member of the AI and Mental Health Collective, where I contribute to conversations about how technology is reshaping emotional health, mental health care, and the way we connect with one another. I appreciate connecting with people who care about relationships, mental health, leadership, and the ways technology can shape our connection to ourselves and each other.
