I gained a fantastic mixture of technical, marketing and administrative experience. From starting out as a "temp" working in various departments to support teams to deliver their objectives, I gained great feedback and was soon made permanent and given more challenges. My time was divided between an international team responsible for software in Europe and looking after the UK's marketing database systems. Highlights included organising a 3 week roadshow round Europe, a short trip to the States to assist with a software product launch, working with a large agency to develop and launch marketing initiatives, systems engineer training, working on various mid-sized client projects, supervising the running of a large machine room, including newly launched products, implementing software changes and liaising with the development, support and data entry teams, implementing a new software distribution system, hosting client visits and training colleagues how to use new products.

Started as a small maternity leave project to keep me out of mischief when I had my second child and took a 'career break'. I still run this small website business part time around my family and a few other commitments! We've had great feedback from teachers, parents and kids on our range of educational resources which are all designed to help motivate kids to learn and practice their literacy and numeracy skills and give parents some tools to help motivate their kids. We also have some as yet unpublished stories and poems to support the range and are looking for an organisation or individual who would like to to develop AlphaLearners further.
