My time at Marmalade was spent working between several projects, with the bulk of my time focused on Ticket to Ride main game and DLC releases. In the last few months I was the lead developer on the DLC project, ensuring code timelines were met and core game logic continued to work under a different set of rules.

In this role my initial main responsibility was working on features and updates for the primary game we had in production. After 6 months I transitioned into a labs role, working on projects to empower the rest of the team and deliver software solutions outside the bounds of game development.

After my internship I joined as a permanent game developer, working on the three games the company had in development during this period. This involved a rapid turnaround on "KnockOut", a game created in partnership with ITV's coverage of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

I started at Live Tech Games in an internship role, where my primary responsibility was rapid prototyping of game mechanics. This role also served as a probation period for other roles at this company.

At Fortress GB I was a member of a small team focused on internal insight solutions, such as reporting, dashboards, and management tools. Responsibilities included leadership of multiple projects, spanning web development, desktop forms, database maintenance and scripting, and pipeline creation. Additionally, I oversaw task delegation and code reviews for select projects.

Promotion to a full-time software developer position involving more work on the technologies listed below, as well as integration of a 3rd party dashboard tool into the web application.

Level 4 Software Technician apprenticeship where I learnt software development. I gained invaluable experience in a number of technologies such as ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Web APIs with .NET Core, database management with SQL, Angular, and many more on smaller projects.

Having started as an order processor, quickly learning the business-specific software gave me some invaluable computer literacy skills. This helped a lot when I moved on to bigger projects such as market research work, and I have worked on several large projects in research & website updating to bring some real revenue to the business. As the firm grew new software was brought in to process orders, so instead of sitting back and losing out on work I used my technological skills and willingness to learn so I could help with website and content design.

I ran the business Twitter page, which grew very rapidly under my supervision. It is extremely difficult to find fresh, interesting content to write about a builder's merchant but the page grew from almost nothing to several hundred followers whilst I was in control.
