Jack Abramowich

Arc’teryx is a global company focused on innovation within the outdoor industry while maintaining a deep commitment to sustainable products and design. Joining the brand marketing team I have engaged in tailoring solutions to market a local company on a global scale. I managed a retail audit, including a visual analysis of more than 800 individual retail brand elements, to ensure consistent messaging across 42 international retail locations. After analyzing the data, I presented solutions to the senior retail team to mitigate marketing inconsistencies and establish a stronger brand identity. I also joined the store design team in Toronto, Ontario, where I assisted in the opening of a new major store and participated in the planning of launch events and community outreach. Lastly, I got to engage in tactical marketing strategy sessions to showcase a specialized, industry-disrupting product to consumers and professionals.

DUER is an omnichannel apparel brand focused on bridging the gap between fashionable and functional clothing. Working under the director of ecommerce, I gained first-hand knowledge of diverse business practices. I worked with peers to execute site audits, research forecasts, and Shopify projects to maximize engagement with new and returning customers. Most notably, I designed and implemented new survey software to streamline returns across D2C, wholesale, and retail chains.

WCRL is an environmentally-friendly company that provides essential recycling services for the agricultural industry. As a management intern, I collaborated with engineers and technicians to complete an inventory analysis in order to update and maintain the operational requirements of spare stock. Additionally, I worked under the foreman to maintain a large industrial plant that renders food waste and inedible animal byproducts for use in renewable energy, fertilizer, animal feed and various daily products. My responsibilities included: handling raw materials, operating heavy machinery and ensuring a sanitary working environment.

Camp Hatikvah is a sleep-away summer camp for youth that promotes connection to Jewish culture and values through arts, athletics and educational activity. As a certified lifeguard, I was responsible for providing an enjoyable aquatic environment while upholding lakefront safety policies. I also designed and taught swimming lessons to campers of diverse abilities. As a counsellor, I was accountable for managing a cabin of twelve campers aged 10-11 and planning camp-wide activities. My primary goal was to promote the physical and emotional well-being of my campers.
