Taking on the mantel of VP of Research Operations at PlaytestCloud, where I oversee our operations and teams for all playtesting and player recruitment and management activities. Working directly with clients, internal teams and product to ensure that we maintain and innovate on the best in class SLAs while providing the highest quality Player Insights across more than 5,000 research studies annually, with ambitious goals to improve that number every year.

As the Head of Research Operations at PlaytestCloud, I am responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the Research Operations department. My role involves leading a talented team of professionals to ensure all of our circa 4000 playtests/year are delivered on-time with the highest quality standards and that our player panel of over 1,000,000 is kept in order. Key responsibilities include: 1. Overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational initiatives across various domains. 2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align our objectives with business goals and priorities. 3. Developing and implementing robust research operations processes, methodologies, and best practices. 4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key industry players to stay ahead of market trends and emerging opportunities. 5. Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development among team members. 6. Ensuring strict adherence to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and ethical considerations. Leveraging my extensive experience in operations management and my passion for research, I strive to contribute to PlaytestCloud’s growth and success by delivering valuable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive competitive advantage.

Fortunate to be leading a highly motivated team, my focus is to provide the best SaaS playtesting, community and player recruitment operations at PlaytestCloud. Where we help mobile games studios make better games!

This role was my introduction to people management at PlaytestCloud where I helped double our team and provided support to our Business Development and Customer Success teams from their inception. Many other highlights that are hidden behind NDAs! Always putting our players and clients first has made my job thoroughly enjoyable :)

PlaytestCloud runs usability and playtests for game studios. We're not an outsourcing agency though -- our online platform empowers game studios to get natural, honest player feedback from their exact target audience fast and easy. Our customers include some of the largest mobile game developers on the market, as well as many small and independent game studios. Our on-device recording technology is unmatched in quality and ease of use, requiring neither an SDK or changes to the game nor forcing the players to hold their devices in an unnatural way.

In Windmill Lane Recording Studios and Pulse College I gained a wealth of experience as a Studio Engineer , highlights range from working Sinéad O'Connor to Anúna. Tough to get it into just a few sentences but Windmill Lane was where my organisational skills and quick thinking were put on show! Responsible for AAA clients recording sessions, corporate experiences, making tea and wrapping cables!
