Senior Consultant in EY’s Business Transformation & Design team.

As an SCM business analyst I worked on a wide range of day-to-day and longer term projects. This covered multiple business units across Europe, Asia and the United States. SAP was central to my role as I worked to optimize and customize the system to ensure a smooth and efficient running of Glanbia's supply chain. Regularly wrote process instructions for the creation and enhancement of SAP programs and reports, and carried out analysis on the system for quality assurance testing. This involved a high degree of collaboration with both the commercial and technical sides of the company. I also had a major role in the implementation of Power BI for the greater SCM team. I developed and regularly maintained a statistical dashboard which is used by managers on a regular basis.

Operated the cash tills and worked to hit weekly sales targets. Assisted with digital projection and preparation of the weekly film schedule.

I worked with Arete as part of my J1 exchange program. Working here gave me the opportunity to experience what it is like to work within another culture. My time was spread between Major League Baseball games, concerts, and smaller private functions. My duties at these events were numerous and included working as a barman, cashier, server and member of kitchen staff. On a few occasions I was chosen as the Team Leader by my superiors because of the leadership qualities and strong work ethic that I demonstrated. This involved organizing the other employees and acting as a link between the employees and the venue manager.

Maxol were my first employers and my time there gave me great insight into the workings of a local business and taught me many customer service skills. My primary duties included operating the cash till, ensuring the shop was properly stocked, assisting customers around the shop.

Throughout my degree I have completed a wide range of business modules covering areas such as accounting, economics, finance, human resources, management, management information systems and marketing. I have also completed numerous French language, literature and culture modules.

As part of my UCD degree, I was required to study abroad for my third year of university. I carried out my Erasmus exchange program at NEOMA Business School in Rouen, France. While at NEOMA, I studied a number of business and French subjects from the Program Grande École, all taught through French. This was a very enriching experience. As well as being immersed in French language and culture, I was often in contact with other international students from all around the globe. I have shared many ideas and experiences with them which has made me a more culturally aware individual and I believe this will be of great benefit to me and my career.
