I started with Arcapita in Singapore and set up the Infrastructure Investment team for Asia. I moved in January 2009 to our HQ in Bahrain to do the same for the Middle East, Africa and India. The job entails sourcing deals, conducting due diligence and bringing it to Arcapita's Investment Committee. In case of an investment, the asset-management function stays within the same team.

I worked as an associate until 2000 in the Amsterdam office of McKinsey, and was elected partner there in June 2000. I moved to McKinsey's Manila office with a regional role in 2002 and headed that office in 2003 and 2004. I moved to the Middle East (Bahrain) in early 2005 to set-up and lead the McKinsey office there, as part of the GCC office. I focused on utilities and energy clients throughout my McKinsey carreer.
