As Commodity Manager for the Americas region, I am responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier strategy, portfolio and supplier development of multiple metal-based categories including Stampings, Alu and Zinc Castings, Cast Iron, Forgings, Valves, and Bearings.

- Send RFQ's to multiple commodity supplier base. - Main commodities: Cast Iron, HPDC, Stampings, Forgings and Powder Metal. - Review and Update multiple plants pricing information. (Contracts and Scheduling Agreements). - Look for and savings negotiation, present and implementation per product group for NA plants. - Look for new suppliers and push the development of them (Plastics, Rubber Chemicals and Aluminum Extrusions) - Source service parts avoiding obsolescence costs and price increases. - Leading savings projects from 50K up to 900K USD per year. - Manage service parts requirements and negotiations - Award, launching and implementation of new programs for top OEM's and Tier 1. (SCM) - Project management at SCM level. - Purchase orders and tooling order creation.

- Analyze daily accounts payable (A/P) transactions, processing vendor invoices and PO vouchers. (4 Business Areas/1 productive entity -AS400- and 1 services entity -SAP-) - Monthly journal entries. - Pricing variance analysis. - Supplier and banking confirmation. - Monthly inter company reconciliation. - Monthly G/L reclassifications. - Monthly accruals calculation and posting. - Execute the suppliers, services and freight payment run. - Monthly balance sheet review (supplier and acccrual accounts) - Supplier reconciliations. - Bank reconciliations. - Vendor Master Data. - Monthly tax analysis and reporting. - Multiple part number price vs cost analysis (seeking the cost optimization). - Employee reimbursement processing.
