Since 2021, I have spearheaded the end-to-end structuring of the Accounting and Tax functions, establishing the foundational governance and fiscal discipline required for scale and also Central Bank regulatory requirements, ensuring the data integrity, unit economics optimization, and operational rigor necessary for a public company environment.

Managed the accounting department with direct reporting to the VP of Accounting, overseeing the complete accounting closing process and the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and Central Bank of Brazil standards while ensuring the technical accuracy of critical regulatory reports. Acted as the primary liaison for internal and external audit cycles, led team training to improve operational efficiency, and provided technical guidance for the design and implementation of new internal projects and financial processes

Led the audit of financial statements under BR GAAP and IFRS for a diverse portfolio of banks, fintechs, and investment funds, managing the entire lifecycle from planning to completion while supervising multi-disciplinary teams and discussing complex accounting matters directly with client administrations

Responsible the accounting closing and reporting for the Bank treasury portfolio under BR GAAP and IFRS, prepared explanatory notes for bonds and securities, and analyzed portfolio transactions to ensure the reasonableness of financial results for presentation to the financial department.

Executed local and regional internal audits across Latin America by developing annual audit plans and risk assessments, discussed findings with the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, and served as an advisor in various committees.

Managed comprehensive financial statement audits and quarterly reviews for financial institutions, focusing on internal control testing for credit, treasury, and risk processes while coordinating large teams and maintaining direct communication with C-level executives regarding work results and business improvement
