Ishita Borkar

Software Engineer (MS CS, Syracuse) with experience in React, JavaScript, and full-stack development — eager to build scalable, user-focused products. I’m a Computer Science Master’s graduate from Syracuse University with hands-on experience in software engineering across full-stack, front-end, and applied ML projects. Most recently, at Karmeq, I built and refined features in a React/Next.js frontend, stabilized builds, and shipped UX improvements that supported user acquisition and retention goals. Previously, at Youbloom, I migrated their platform to Flutter, enabling cross-platform compatibility and designing API architecture for seamless frontend–backend communication. Beyond internships, I’ve worked on projects ranging from a GAN-based system for biometric spoofing to a travel app with Firebase, and a blockchain hotel-booking platform. Across all of these, I focus on writing clean, scalable code and designing user-friendly systems. Currently, I’m sharpening my skills in data structures, algorithms, and system design to prepare for high-impact roles at companies like Meta, Pinterest, and Amazon.
