Civil Engineering Department Responsible for the development of a 3D analytical simulator for transport of contaminants in porous media (ASTC-s) that could quickly predict groundwater contaminant concentration in time and space. [C/C++, IUP and OpenGL] Responsible for implementing an ethanol reactive model in a 3D numerical simulator software for transport of contaminant (RT3D). This simulator was used to study the effect of ethanol when in contact with gasoline in groundwater. [Fortran] Responsible for the 3D modelling and numerical simulations of flow and transport of chloride in groundwater, using VisualModflow. The project aimed to study the environmental impact caused by leaks during oil and gas activities.

Responsible for the development of mathematical solutions and graphical user interface of the MFIP Petrel plug-in, for mapping mechanical failure and fracture prediction. As well, involved on the development of the Geological Restoration Petrel plug-in prototype. Both plug-ins are based on 3D stresses computed by a 3D Geomechanics Simulator (Visage). [C#, .NET and Ocean] Worked executing projects related to 3D/4D Geomechanical/Reservoir/Fracture modelling. These included: processing well logs and 3D seismic data, building/simulating the 3D model (Visage/Eclipse), and analyzing and reporting the results to the clients.

Responsible for spreading the 1D and 3D Geomechanics workflows related to unconventional reservoirs. These workflows involved the stress computation (by Techlog-1D and Visage-3D), followed by well placement design, fracture design (Mangrove) and 3D fracture mapping/permeability update.

Responsible for the conception and development of a Petrel plug-in prototype for the calibration of natural fracture properties using well test data. A non-linear optimization algorithm and 3D Finite Element flow simulator were used to compute the optimum fracture parameters, that were applied in reservoir simulation studies (Eclipse). [C#, .NET and Ocean] Worked in a Commercialization Team testing the Ocean development framework for Petrel plug-ins, with exposure to Agile techniques.
