Izzy Gualtiere

As a UPIC Intern with ECAR at Clemson University, I proudly serve as a welcoming committee member for newcomers from diverse cultural backgrounds. My role involves being a crucial link in their integration process, facilitating their adjustment to the local community and American lifestyle. Actively engaged in the ECAR initiative, I contribute to the mission of creating a warm and inclusive environment by organizing and participating in English language practice sessions to enhance communication skills. Through collaboration with fellow interns, we establish a supportive network for newcomers during their transition. Committed to fostering a sense of belonging and community, my efforts align with ECAR's goal of making the relocation process smoother for individuals adapting to the American lifestyle. I am passionate about inclusivity, celebrating diversity, and contributing to the vibrancy and connectedness of our community.

As an intern at the Social Media Listening Center in Clemson, SC, during the Fall of 2023 and through the present, I took on a leadership role, spearheading projects to effectively communicate current events and political climates. My responsibilities included conducting research to deliver crucial data to clients, and I successfully authored monthly current events reports. These reports detailed top users, states, age groups, and overall sentiment, providing valuable insights that were published on the center's website and LinkedIn. This experience allowed me to develop strong analytical and communication skills while contributing to the center's mission of staying at the forefront of social media trends and public sentiment.

As a Marketing (Fan Experience) intern with Clemson Athletics, I supported the marketing and game day operations teams in creating an engaging and memorable atmosphere for Clemson fans across multiple sports, including men’s soccer, women’s basketball, and Clemson football. My responsibilities focused on enhancing the overall fan experience through in-game entertainment, promotional activities, and event coordination.
