• Providing the customer with 24*7 network operation support onsite and remote. • Under network operation’s and preventive maintenance performing system network checks including Daily network report, Monthly network report, Quarterly network report and yearly network report. • Performing network optimization by deploying network patches and systems configuration changes. • Responsible for planning, engineering, installations and maintenance for the Datacom and IP network. • Plan, design and dimension the architectural standards of the IP packet core network based on the design paradigms set by the design lead. • Define the core network parameters for the achieving the requisite core network capacity and throughput. • Effectively integrate the core network with the transmission network & IT/ BSS system. • Dimension the core network nodes of key core network equipment for back/long hauling for access/traffic of the core network. • Identify and get the necessary approval and hence implement new features to the core network. • Negotiate with the core network vendors and coordinating with them with optimizing the core network parameters to enhance the sustainability and reliability of the network. • Conduct the requisite site acceptance tests according to the quality and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with the IT, IP, Radio, transmission planning teams to forecast the traffic, dimensioning of the backhaul network and other relevant interfaces between radio and other network components. • Document and regularly update the design document. • Enable regulatory clearances as applicable. • Network audit to analyses plan vs. actual (IP packet and design). • Takes ownership of the task and delivers quality in a timely manner. • Daily/weekly/monthly backups of all Datacom/IP Network nodes.

• Ensuring environmental systems on the MME, SGW, PGW, CSCF, SSS, IVAS, MSCS, MGW, EIR and NGN equipment are working in an optimal condition. • Analyzing logic faults and KPI on all VAS network. • Managing IMS services and provisioning for new subscribers for the VoLTE service on the IMS core network. • Ensuring the OTA functionality on the Vodafone business app is function. • Support the enterprise business (EBU) by developing new products such as unlimited broadband internet packages with capped speeds of 2Mbps, 5Mbps and 10Mbps for clients. • New product development for VOLTE (voice over IP) and configuring supplementary services on the Voice network. • Developing USSD code’s for future supplementary products to support Voice over IP services. • Performing EIR mobile network device analysis for the business reporting.

• NOC responsibilities such as alarm monitoring and escalation, restoration, information. Network traffic patterns, exception reporting and escalation of issues not closed within set SLA’s. • Network performance analysis and performance (KPI’s) monitoring. Including alarm management on the network (including traffic performance and network management) daily 24X7. • Handling TT/Cases quality; Escalate on time and with accuracy. Ensure communication via Sending Message, voice call, email are done on time. Performing periodic update on time with proper information in remedy and via SMS. • Provide first level network trouble support and Inform the NOC Team Lead about Major and Critical outages within 5 min and update him/her every 30 min. Identify, log, analyze and manage potential risks to the network and take immediate corrective action. • Shift handling and responsibilities monitor the network from the start of the shift to the end of a shift. And ensure system health checks have been performed. • Extract and develop network reports to analyze performance problems and maintain data integrity in all network performance related reports. • Access management and control to the Data Center and Power Plant. • Provide trending and first level analysis of network performance reports to the Operations Lead. Effective resolution of customer complaints related to network performance. • Anticipate any deviations and keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed. Issue reports on demand to enable effective business operations. • Handle the day to day issues related to network performance ensuring minimized impact on operations from quality and cost perspective.

• Performing 24x7 Monitoring of Liquid telecoms network at the NOC (Network Operation Center). Monitoring the MPLS/Core network infrastructure on liquid telecoms networks such as Provider edge (PE) and Core Provider routers (P). Using network monitoring tools such as Ekinops, Huawei-iManager U2000 NMS, SNMPc and Cacti. • Performing first hand troubleshooting on Ethernet connection links and MPLS-over-Ethernet via SNMPc manager and Cacti. • Performing first hand troubleshooting on Liquid telecoms DWDM via Ekinops monitoring tool. Checking the DWDM’s optical links power levels. • Field operation network support by providing Ethernet cable/Optical fiber (LAN) networking cable infrastructure installation. Cisco Switches, Routers and Wireless access point (WAP) configuration or installation. • Provide support for Liquid enterprise client’s for first line support on organic and fibronik fiber. These clients include Natsave, Barclays, Zamren, Boz, SABMiller, and Vodafone. Dark fiber infrastructure and Leased E1 circuits on the under the SDH network. • Enterprise clients TT SLA management for faults reported by clients and those detected by NOC engineers. Share frequent updates with clients as works to resolve the fault is in progress until the closure of a trouble ticket (TT). • Preparation of network reports status reports and notifying client on the network in case of a failure affecting their services. • Power plant management, monitoring the ZESCO mains supply is available at Liquid HQ (Elunda) and liaising with ZESCO during unscheduled outages or faults. Ensuring the backup power supply system at the Data center is stable. • Ensure there is adequate fuel in the reserve tanks and the running D.G in case of the Zesco main’s supply power outage. • To ensure the Data Center environment system and stable on shift. Track the environmental parameters are always within optimal temperature (18-24°C) and humidity (40% - 60% rH) levels.

• Performing 24x7 network monitoring and surveillance from the network operating Centre [NOC] on Zamtel’s Radio Access network GERAN, UMTS and enterprise business support. Managing access to the data centre, ensuring the environmental attributes are optimal for the Core network Nodes. Performing daily shift network performance report. • Providing technical support to field technician and engineers working on the Zamtel’s network Access infrastructure on the radio wireless network such as BTS and Node’s. • Providing technical support to field technician and engineers working on the Zamtel’s metro network backhaul/backbone infrastructure using fiber optical transmission links and microwave transmission links. • Provide Enterprise network support and ensuring all faults are resolved within the customer’s SLA for enterprise clients such as banks and other business entities. • Performing network performance report for enterprise services and system monitoring for enterprise clients. • Escalation of faults and taking up ownership. Collecting data and reporting the analysis that has been established. • Field network activities such as installation of Local Area Network [LAN] and troubleshooting network faults. Proper termination of communication cables on a PLC. • Cable grinding and termination, these include power and signal cables on instrument devices as well as terminal blocks. • Instrument monitoring and performance checks. Checking the voltage variation of the instruments. Checking the Amperage rating of instrument devices in the field. Checking the environmental condition of the instruments in the field. Checking and Calibrating of industrial equipment. • Installation of air coiling systems, refrigeration system and maintenance. Installation of industrial control devices (elements) such as Ultra-sonic Level sensors, Flow indicating transmitters, Temperature sensors, Pressure sensors and Digital (security) Camera’s. • Installation of DCS in an industrial environment, Power supply systems, Input and output modules, Digital processing unit, memory data banks. • Ensuring a proper cabling of signal cables on a DCS.
