About
I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with 4+ years of experience in communication networks, applied AI/ML, distributed systems, generative models for networks and edge computing. My PhD research focuses on building trustworthy, scalable, and adaptive ML-driven cyber physical systems and networks including continual learning framework for robust anomaly detection with digital twins, spatio-temporal forecasting with GNNs and foundation models, adaptive scheduling for resource constrained devices, and generative model enhanced active learning approaches for network intrusion detection. I work extensively with Python, Java, C++, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and large-scale data driven systems and network datasets to design end-to-end pipelines for real-world deployments. I have prior experience in working on resource allocation for 5G cellular networks, specifically using graph models for maximizing throughput under interference management and leveraging big data tools (Hadoop/Spark/Apache Kylin) for distributed smart home energy management system, and backend development. I enjoy building things and learning new stuff to turn ideas into tangible solutions! 1. Thesis Title: Energy Big Data Management, Analytics and Visualization for Residential Areas based on big data analytics in Smart Grid. 2. Designed a hadoop distributed file system storage cluster using Cloudera to generate synthetic energy consumption data (2 TB) for one million smart meter homes using Monte Carlo Markov Chain simulation in R language. 3. Authored two research papers published in IEEE Transactions journal of Consumer Electronics. 6. Won 2017/2018 Graduate Student Excellence Award amongst all engineering disciplines (~ 200+ students) recognizing outstanding contribution to research, scholarly, and creative work in May 2018. 7. First place in Chester Sall Awards for the best paper in 2020 IEEE Transactions Consumer Electronics Journal.
