“Association for Disabled People” is a DPO, established in the year 2002, for the Persons with Disabilities, in order to help them become a part of the mainstream society. NGO is a Social Voluntary Organization involved in social welfare for the person with disabilities, SC/ST & poor people, Basic objective of society is to provide a Vocational Training Awareness, Education, Employment (in private sectors) self-Employment and Facilities these Categories from since more than Twelve Years. The organization has been allotted the Basti Vikas Kendra by Delhi Shelter Urban Improvement Board, Delhi Govt. to sum activities and Non-assistance from the Govt. Or any other autonomous body for its project, it has received ample support and financial autonomous body for its project, it has perceived ample support and financial help from people for the education of disabled people and perhaps. *Provide legal advice (under Disability Act 1995) to differently able people. *Create awareness about disability and working for rights of persons with disabilities. *Providing Counseling/Guidance to persons with disability about the employment/ self-employment and to help persons with disabilities for employment in Private sector. *We are working for the empowering of women with disability and children and giving special training of Art and Craft. *To help to get Disability Certificate, Railway & Bus Concession passes, Disability Identity cards, MCD Booth, Pension to people with disabilities. *Participated at National and International Conferences, Meetings, Workshops etc. for Disability movement. Organising workshops, meetings, consultation for disability movement time to time. *Work towards Accessible public infrastructure and environment for the PWDs. We have lot of experience to work on accessibility and Access Audit. *Working for rights of disabled sportspersons. And Organising and Promoting Paralympic Sports in India since 2006 (Indoor/outdoor games for differently able people)
