Secondment with FortisBC • Performed assessment for crossing assessments and pressure reductions for FortisBC’s TP and IP pipelines using API calculation and Pipeline Toolbox, following CSA Z662 and FortisBC’s standards • Prepared Class 4 and 5 Cost Estimates, FEED report and other technical documents for various FortisBC’s pipeline projects • Performed tasks as Engineer of Record for pipeline projects, including liaising with various stakeholders, conducting site visits, reviewing material certification as per CSA Z245.1 and assembling construction packages • Reviewed drawings and other engineering documents for project closure to ensure that all deliverables are up to FortisBC’s and EGBC standards • Provided advice and work with the project team to fill deficiencies, providing a smooth project closure process and compliance for close-out, then document the process into an interactive spreadsheet

• Prepare Engineering Work Packages which includes scope of work, drawings and technical details following industry standards such as CSA Z662 and ASME B131.3 for both Pipeline and Facility areas • Perform process calculations on pipelines that need to be upgraded/fixed to ensure appropriate design and sizing • Revise engineering drawings such as P&ID, PFD and layout using Bluebeam according to ongoing changes and standards • Create RFQs and procure equipment needed for projects, including pumps, valves, meters or custom-designed equipment

• Awarded 2nd place at Hatch Plant Design Competition and the Best Project at Design and Innovation Award (UBC) • Designed and scaled-up the process of converting lignocellulosic biomass to ethanol • Developed conceptual process designs including PFD and heat & mass balances using spreadsheet and Aspen Plus • Sized and costed equipment, including tanks, heat exchangers, distillation columns and pumps for equipment spec sheets • Conducted HAZOP studies and economic analysis of the operation of the plant (CAPEX and OPEX)

• Performed mass and energy balances for PFD of various sulphuric acid plants using both spreadsheets and Aspen • Created piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and revised them using Microsoft Visio • Performed hydraulics calculations to size pumps and determine piping to achieve low pressure drop across the equipment and minimize the materials cost • Created technical datasheets for equipment including acid towers, heat exchangers, converters, blowers, and demisters • Designed and tested a new technology for acid entrainment separation and signed as the co-inventor of the patent • Assisted the Project Manager in scheduling projects, sending quotes to vendors and invoicing purchase orders • Prepared technical papers for engineering conferences along with other engineers
