Co-founded a coalition of 200+ Afrodescendent investors and donors, creating space for members to recharge, connect, and strengthen their practice as funders. Design and host convenings at global conferences like the Skoll World Forum, UNGA, Sankalp, and other gatherings centering member kinship while sparking collaboration. Guide vision and priorities with a core group of members, ensuring the coalition grows from within and reflects the collective. Raising seed funding to formalize FoAD, support member experience, and build the infrastructure for long-term sustainability. Facilitate discussions on strategies for how appropriately structured capital can flow into Afrodescendent and other marginalized communities worldwide, strengthening both resilience and long-term opportunity.

Evaluated 600+ applications, helping allocate $2M+ in bridge grants to organizations providing lifesaving services that were impacted by the collapse of USAID. Coordinated applicant data for committee review, ensuring evidence based & rapid investment decisions.

Advised on course design for social entrepreneurs making strategic fundraising asks, particularly emphasizing the importance of making the ask relevant to the venture's stage.

Evaluated tens of millions in annual investments across Africa and South/Southeast Asia, applying clear frameworks to assess scalability, impact potential, and organizational readiness. Worked across sectors including climate change, conservation, early childhood development, education, health, nutrition, systems change, technology, and water & sanitation. Partnered with entrepreneurs to sharpen fundraising strategies and connect with aligned funders, supporting them to secure follow-on capital, often multiples of our original investment. Sourced new ideas for social change from a pipeline of ~800 ventures each year, selecting ~20 fellows with strong paths to scale through partnerships, collective action, and technology. Represented the foundation at global conferences and speaking engagements, raising the visibility of portfolio organizations and building co-funding partnerships. Helped strengthen the field of impact investing by translating learnings from due diligence into shared insights and collaboration with peers.

Founding fund manager for $130K+ grant fund aimed at allocating capital to early stage BIPOC owned food businesses in Durham. Conducted research on community rooted systems of equitable financing. Launched pilot application process and secured 14 strong candidates for founding portfolio.

Established relationships with 21 Africa-focused investors, resulting in a pipeline of 10+ deal referrals, and one closed deal ($50K seed investment in Nigerian SaaS stock trading company).

Place with UTEC in Lowell, MA. Developed an expansion strategy and implementation plan to scale UTEC's woodworking business. Incorporated a decision logic framework for product mix prioritisation, key success metrics & a P&L forecasting model outlining investment & revenue projections to triple earned revenue in three years.

Launched a pilot coding training for 150 women under the “WeCode” umbrella, managing a budget of $200K and cross functional teams of technical and administrative staff. Placed 100% of founding graduates in local junior software developer jobs.

Designed and facilitated work readiness and career management training programs for 2000+ youth at varying stages of career development.
